Turkmen sportsmen won a medal at the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games. This result refers to the contests organized according to the greco-roman style of sports wrestling.
Azatjan Achilov, who won the right to go to the third-place wrestling match as a result of his consecutive victories in the greco-roman wrestling 63 kg weight category, took advantage of this opportunity. He managed to win the bronze medal of the Games.
