Gaygysyz Torayev bronze medalist at the Asian Championship

Turkmen athlete Gaygysyz Torayev won two bronze medals - in the clean and jerk and combined event - in the weight category up to 81 kg at the Asian Weightlifting Championships in Tashkent.
The champion of the competition in this weight was Korean athlete Ri ChongSong, who won the result of 369 kg(169 kg in the jump, 200 kg in the push). The silver medal went to Kazakhstan's Aleksandr Uvarov with a weight of 343 kg (153 kg in the deadlift, 190 kg in the push and pull - 190 kg).
Gaygysyz Torayev is 20 years old. He is a third-year student of Turkmen State Institute of Physical Education and Sports. The talented weightlifter is a silver medalist at the World Youth Championship held in Mexico last year and the Asian Youth Championship 2023 in India.
