Turkmen weightlifter won bronze medal in the World Championships in Riyadh

The 88th World WeightLifting Championships takes place from 4 to 17 September 2023 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). This is the 88th tournament for men and the 31st for women. At this tournament, 20 sets of medals are awarded among 537 participants. This championship is declared as a qualifying tournament for theXXXIII Olympic Games 2024 in Paris.
This Championship became very successful in the career of the Turkmen weightlifter Gaygysyz Torayev, where he won the bronze medal in the “Clean & Jerk” discipline in the weight category up to 81 kg lifting 193kg. And also, in the “Snatch” category showing the 7th result lifting 150 kg. Thus based on the results of the two disciplines, he became 6th with a result of 343 kg. And there would also like to add that GaygysyzTorayev set a personal record in the sum of two disciplines, lifting 24 kg.it is more than at the Olympic qualifying tournament in Havana held in June 2023, where he won a silver medal
