Great performance of Turkmen Tennis athletes in Oman

The Turkmenistan national tennis team successfully participated in the Central and Western Asian Championships in Muscat (Oman), among juniors under 14 years of age, winning 2 gold and 4 silver medals. The team finished second overall. A number of the most talented junior tennis players from 13 countries participated in the competition.
Ilima Guseynova won two gold medals in singles, and in doubles Ilima Guseynova with Aylara Kakabaeva won silver medals. Together the girls won 4 silver medals in doubles.
The great success achieved by the national team of Turkmenistan in the Western and Central Asia regional qualifying rounds of the Asian Region of the International Tennis Federation is a reflection of our athletes' confident steps towards new heights of development in this sport.
