At the 2024 Asian Youth and JuniorWeightlifting Championships, Turkmen athletes delivered remarkable performances, showcasing their strength, skill, and determination across various weight categories.

In the men's competition, DidarbekJumabayev claimed the bronze medal in the 73 kg category with a total of 298 kg(127 kg in the snatch and 171 kg in the clean and jerk). His impressive result highlights his hard work, dedication, and excellent preparation, positioning him as a rising star in international weightlifting.

Similarly, in the 89 kg category, Islam Akmyradov earned the bronze medal by lifting a total of 296 kg (133 kg in the snatch and 163 kg in the clean and jerk). His exceptional performance allowed him to compete fiercely against top athletes and secure a spot on the podium, demonstrating Turkmenistan's growing presence in the sport.

In the women's competition, GulalekKakamyradova and Medine Amanova made history by taking the top two spots in the 64 kg category. Gulalek Kakamyradova clinched the gold medal with a total of 202 kg (92 kg in the snatch and 110 kg in the clean and jerk), dominating the field and setting a high standard for her competitors. Medine Amanova, in a tight contest, secured the silver medal with a total of 201 kg (92 kg in the snatch and 109 kg in the clean and jerk). Though she narrowly missed the gold by just 1 kg, her strong performance underlined her potential and determination.

These outstanding achievements not only highlight the hard work and commitment of Turkmen athletes but also demonstrate the nation's rising prominence in the sport of weightlifting on the international stage.
