For the first time in the history of the Olympic Summer Games, the Opening Ceremony did not take place in a stadium. Paris 2024 has broke new ground by bringing sports into the city and the same will be true of the Opening Ceremony, set hold in the heart of the city along its main artery: the Seine.
Turkmen athletes took part in the opening ceremony of the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games in Paris. The Turkmenistan team sailed on a boat along the Seine under the 191st serial number after athletes from Turkey.
Judoka Serdar Rakhimov became the flag bearer of the Turkmen team.
