On the last day of the World Kurash Championship held in Ashgabat, Turkmen athletes won 3 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medals. Thus, Turkmenistan finished the World Championship with 5 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze medals.

In the competitions held on November 28, the first-year student of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Education and Sports, Dovlet Hemrakulyyev, performed in the weight category up to 66 kilograms, and in the semi-finals, he lost to the Iranian athlete Majid Wahid Barimanlou and was limited to a bronze medal.
