42nd General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia

On June 8, 2023, the 42nd General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia, held in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand, was attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan B. Matiev and General Secretary of the National Olympic Committee of Turkmenistan A. Akmammedov.
According to the agenda of the Olympic Council of Asia, IOC Acting President Raja Randhir Singh gave a report. He was also elected as the new President of the Olympic Council of Asia. Two candidates ran for the presidency, currently CEO Hussein Al Musallam and Chairman of the Legal Committee of the Olympic Council of Asia, Sheikh Talal Fahad Al Ahmad Al-Sabah. As a result of the vote of the members of the Olympic Council of Asia, Sheikh Talal was elected to the position of President.
In addition, there were reports of the Vice-Presidents of the five Asian zones, the heads of the Standing Committees, the organizational affairs committees of the Hangzhou Asian Games and the VI Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.
