Turkmen Boxers Achieve Historic Success in Dubai

The IBA Men’s World Boxing Championship Dubai 2025, held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from December 2 to 13, 2025, has successfully concluded. This prestigious tournament, which brought together the world’s strongest boxers, featured three athletes from the Turkmenistan national boxing team.
In the 92+ kg weight category, Dovlet Yslamov delivered confident performances, winning two bouts and advancing to the quarterfinals. As a result, he secured 5th place in the championship.
The most outstanding performance came from Bayramdurdy Nurmuhammedov, who competed in the 71 kg weight category. He confidently progressed to the semifinals, defeating strong opponents along the way. Nurmuhammedov finished the championship in 3rd place, winning the bronze medal 🥉. This achievement represents the highest result ever attained by Turkmen boxers at a world championship to date.
These historic results mark an important milestone in the development of Turkmen boxing. Alongside the athletes, special recognition goes to their coaches, Yazmuhammet Pazzyyev and Aliasker Bashirov, whose contributions played a key role in this success.
