Turkmen Weightlifters Achieve Success at the 2025 Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships

The 2025 Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships, held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, took place in a spirit of intense competition among athletes in various weight categories. In this prestigious tournament, Turkmen weightlifters stood out with impressive performances and claimed several medals.
Anamjan Rustamova – 1st place in the 86 kg weight category, won the gold medal by lifting a total of 245 kg.
Yslam Akmyradov – 3rd place in the 94 kg category, earned the bronze medal with a total of 315 kg.
Didarbek Jumabayev – 2nd place in the 79 kg category, secured the silver medal by lifting 312 kg.
Medine Amanova – 3rd place in the 63 kg category, won the bronze medal with a total of 198 kg.
Kakamyrat Annamyradov – 2nd place in the 71 kg category, claimed the silver medal with a total lift of 288 kg.
Ogulshat Amanova – 3rd place in the 53 kg category, achieved the bronze medal with 174 kg lifted.
The Turkmen athletes’ level of preparation, courage on the platform, and clean technique were highly praised by international judges and spectators alike.
