At the International Junior World Weightlifting Championships held in Lima, Peru, only young athletes competed on the last day of the competition. On this day, Anamjan Rustamova, a member of the Turkmenistan national team, successfully performed in the 87 kg weight category and won the gold medal.

Anamjam Rustamova successfully lifted 108 kg in the snatch and 141 kg in the clean and jerk, reaching a total of 249 kg. With this result, she surpassed Mexican Vanessa Lizarraga (244 kg) and Maria Gruzdova (242 kg), representing the UAE.

This great success of Anamjan Rustamova is another proof that weightlifting in our country is developing and great attention is paid to young athletes.
