A young boxer from Turkmenistan has proudly raised the national flag on the international sports stage. At the Asian Boxing Championship held in April this year in Amman, Jordan, our young athlete Atabek Hojyyev, competing in the U15 category, won the gold medal in his weight division.
Atabek, one of the most promising and determined young athletes in the Turkmenistan Boxing Federation’s junior program, demonstrated exceptional skill, preparation, and resilience throughout the tournament. Dominating his opponents in every round, he confidently secured victory in the final bout to earn the prestigious title of Asian Champion.
Another Turkmen athlete, Arslan Rejepov, also represented our country with honor and achieved a bronze medal in the same championship. These accomplishments are a clear testament to the strength of Turkmenistan’s boxing school and the high level of training provided to our youth.
The National Olympic Committee of Turkmenistan warmly congratulates our young athletes on their impressive achievements and expresses confidence in their continued success. Thanks to the long-term strategic support of the state in the field of sports, young talents are being given every opportunity to shine on international platforms.
