World Record at the Youth World Championship Held in Spain

The Youth World Weightlifting Championship was held in León, Spain. More than 350 athletes from 67 countries participated in the competition. Anamjan Rustamova and Shahzadbek Matyakubov represented Turkmenistan at this world championship.
The 20-year-old athlete Shahzadbek Matyakubov set a new world record in the clean and jerk in the 102 kg weight category. The athlete lifted 216 kg, surpassing the previous record by 1 kg.
Matyakubov totalled 391 kg (175 + 216), earning him the gold medal at the Youth World Championship.
Turkmen athlete Anamjan Rustamova won a bronze medal in the 81 kg weight category.
