The Turkmen belt wrestling team will take part in the World Championship, which will be held from 8 to 11 September in the city of Namangan, Uzbekistan.
The world championship will include freestyle and classical belt wrestling competitions, as well as Uzbek national belt wrestling competitions. In the category of freestyle and classical belt wrestling, our adult men’s and women’s teams will compete for medals, and our youth team will perform in the Uzbek national wrestling.
The national team of Turkmenistan is coached by Shatlyk Myradov, a lecturer at the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev, Shohrat Mammadov and Nuraly Lollikov, who teach at the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports.
A large number of wrestlers studying at the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports will take part in the world championship. The national team of Turkmenistan also included students of the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev, the Turkmen State Financial Institute, the Institute of Engineering and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan, and the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly.
