Kristina Shermetova won the women’s 55 kg competition. In addition to our compatriot, a number of sportswomen from the Islamic Republic of Iran, Bangladesh and Indonesia took part in the competition in this weight.

Kristina won the junior gold medal in the snatch with a lift of 89 kg. Her clean & jerk of 105 kg earned her a minor silver medal in the event. Our compatriot, who managed to lift 194 kg of weight in total of two types, also won a silver medal in the overall result.
