The capital city of Turkmenistan Ashgabat will host Central Asian International Tennis Tournament for children’s under 12 years old, that will be held on the courts of the “Ashgabat” multifunctional stadium between 1-7 June 2019.
The Tournament will be held under support of the International Tennis Federation (ITF). More than 35 tennis players from Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan will take part in this event. The main referee of the competition will be Saman Hassani Nafez from Iran. The final matches will be held on 6th June.
As an honored guest of Tournament it is planned that Secretary General of the Tennis Federation of Uzbekistan, Iroda Tulyaganova will visit Ashgabat. During the visit, it is planned that Tennis Federations of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan will sign a Memorandum of Understanding with a view of further close cooperation. Also, the famous tennis player from Uzbekistan will hold a tennis master class for Turkmen athletes.
We will resemble that earlier the national tennis team held a training camp at the tennis school named after Iroda Tulyaganova in Tashkent.
The Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan is working hard to attract people of different ages to engage in this sport. Its mass popularity is promoted by hosting regular tennis competitions between students of higher institutions and secondary schools, as well as among children’s of preschool and school age. Turkmen tennis players honorably present the country at international competitions.
